Lithuanian Presidency welcomes the European Parliament's resolution on the political agreement on the EU multiannual budget for 2014-2020.

 
"It is a big step forward and we believe that this autumn we can expect a final consent of the European Parliament for the EU multiannual budget. Lithuanian Presidency is ready to continue further work in the Council and with the European Parliament in order to timely adopt all necessary legal acts”, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Vytautas Leškevičius said.
 
After the endorsement of the agreement, the Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council will have to work on legislative acts implementing EU multiannual budget to ensure the continuous flow of EU funds in various sectors.
