In Vilnius, EU experts will discuss how to improve public administration

On 28–29 October, a joint meeting of the EUPAN (European Public Administration Network) Human Resources and Innovative Public Services Working Groups will take place in Vilnius. The meeting will cover the strengthening of civil service, the improvement of service quality and the activities of public administration institutions as well as the implementation of Open Government initiatives.

During the meeting, the research commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, Public administration improvement tendencies: an evaluation of Lithuania and EU member states, will be presented. There will also be a discussion about the conclusions of questionnaires on ways to motivate and select civil servants, the monitoring of changes in public administration conclusions, and  EUPAN activity perspectives.

Representatives of EU public administration institutions, the European Commission’s Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), and other international organizations and guests will participate. 

The EUPAN is an informal network promoting consistent and constructive cooperation of the EU member countries, the EC, and observing states in the field of public administration improvement.
