COREPER agreed on Council Decision aimed at increasing safety of fishing vessels

Today the Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER I) examined and reached agreement on the text of the Proposal for a Council Decision authorising Member States to sign, ratify or accede to the Cape Town Agreement of 2012.

The main objective of the Cape Town Agreement of 2012 is the facilitation of the entry into force of the IMO Convention for the Safety of Fishing Vessels (Torremolinos Convention of 1977).
