The sector of research and innovation need not only financial investments but also human resources. During the informal meeting of the Competitiveness council in Vilnius EU research ministers discussed what skills are especially needed in the field of research and innovation. “The skills becomes currency of the 21st century and we should bear in mind that there’s a gap between the skills we give the young people in educational system and the skills which are on demand in labour market,” says Lithuanian Minister of Education and Science Dainius Pavalkis.
