Key tasks of the seminar include assessment of the partnership countries’ readiness to take part in the initiatives under the EU cooperation with the Eastern partners in the field of the common security and defence policy (CSDP), identification of common needs of the partners and key challenges in taking part in the same initiatives. It is expected that at the seminar, representatives of partnership countries shall exchange best practise and assess current issues related to involvement in common CSDP projects with the EU. The representatives of the European External Action Service (EEAS) shall present new instruments in the field of cooperation under the CSDP, assess opportunities for financial support to participation of partnership countries in practical initiatives under the CSDP.
