Many countries face the challenge of drug abuse among youth. With the advertising market becoming more global, changing social market, increasing incomes and the widening gap between parents and children – these factors become a real challenge in healthy and spirited young generation. Thus the experience of countries in implementing the primary prevention of psychoactive substances or helping addicted persons and their relatives is significant in countries that seek effective prevention and treatment of psychoactive substances use.

The conference aims to share best experiences, discuss new ideas and topicalities of psychoactive substances use policy. During the conference, the issues will be discussed from various perspectives, and draw upon the experiences of responsible state institutions, health specialist, and non-governmental organizations. The final part of the conference will be a resolution by conference participants to the responsible institutions and specialists to improve psychoactive substances prevention and control.

Sponsors of the event are the EU networking programme and the Nordic Council of Ministers. Organizators: Kazlų Rūda Division of Abstinence Movement of Bishop M. Valančius Vilkaviškis Diocese and National Tobacco and Alcohol Control Coalition.
